We praise God for our partner in mission, Through These Hands (TTH). TTH is a nonprofit organization that acquires and distributes medical and non medical supplies to developing countries through other nonprofit organizations.
They were founded in 2000 when a nurse, Dorene Shannon, shipped 500 pairs of bootie slippers to Kosovo. The ministry grew from Dorene and Bruce Shannon’s garage to a warehouse in Slatington Pennsylvania as hospitals, individuals and clinics began to donate more and more supplies.
In 2006, they became incorporated and they received their nonprofit status in 2007. TTH currently operates out of three warehouses and has shipped to over 50 countries worldwide.
Healthy Women, Healthy Liberia’s partnership with TTH began when Dr. Hena visited their Slatington warehouse in March 2017. Since then, four shipments of supplies were shipped from TTH to HWHL in Kakata, Liberia, including everything from prescription bottles to office furniture.
Dorene is a woman of great faith who is guided by prayer and the Holy Spirit to help brothers and sisters in need around the world. We thank God for this partnership, and for not only supplies, but for a beautiful relationship in Christ.
